The Arts and Science Week will be held on the first week of the new semester itself. It will be from the 12th of January to 16th of January. So please drop by to take a look at some photos exhibited around the exhibition area.
At the same time, I need some people to help me with these few details:
1) the preparation of the exhibition booth, people to help during the exhibition.
2) ID photo taking session. I need someone to help during the photo taking session from the 5th of Jan to 9th of Jan. Please help. Non-members who would like to know some juniors are welcome too.

Our society is looking for volunteers during ID Photo Taking in year 2009.
If you are available or free from January 02, 2009 (Friday) to January 10, 2009 (Saturday), kindly contribute some of your time to help out in the ID photo taking. There will be 2 sessions - morning session (8.30 am to 12.00 pm) and afternoon session (1.00 pm to 4.00 pm).

Trip to MIFC
Overall, the trip to the fireworks display in Putrajaya is a success. Thank god there was no serious traffic congestion during our journey back to UTAR.
Here are the group photos for those who wish to have a soft copy of them.
All those who went for this trip will get 2 photographs as souvenir - 5R and 4R. Once they're printed, you will be informed to come forward to collect your photos.
Anyway, those who tagged along, please leave comments if you feel that there are parts that you are not satisfied with. This will help our organizing committee evaluate this trip and thus, allow better planning for future trips.

Trip to Talk....
The Trip to Malaysia International Fireworks competition (MIFC) is fully booked. A total of 43 students and 1 staff will be on the bus there. So for those who missed it, sorry about that.
We actually intended to charter another bus there, but unfortunately, Ms Ong asked us not to. This is due to the fact that UTAR convocation is on 30th of Aug, and the bus drivers may have to work to fetch UTAR staffs to Menara MCA. She wouldn't want to stress the bus drivers.
We will keep you updated with the latest trip schedule and those who are going, will receive an SMS notification and reminder. So don't worry.
Also, there will be a talk coming up on 20th August 2008 (Wed) by a Star Publication Photojournalist - Mr. Lai Voon Loong. He is one of the columnists in the StarMag and he has shared many valuable skills and knowledge with everyone. So this is not the time to miss the workshop. Do remember to drop by for the Talk.

Trip to MIFC
The upcoming activity for our society would be the trip to
Team Australia will be giving a grand show of pyrotechnics and you definitely DO NOT WANT TO MISS this Grand Finale Show.
Here's the summary of the trip:
Date : 29 August 2008 (Friday, Week 14)
Time : 2.30 pm to 1.00 am; fireworks show from 8.00 pm to 11.00 pm
Venue: Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC)
Price for Members: RM 12
Price for Non-members: RM 15
This trip inclusive of a 5R group photo and some light snacks.
If you're interested, do come to the registration booth and get yourself a place on the journey there. First come first serve basis.
*If we're lucky enough, we might be able to charter a second bus to the show.
